Ashwin has scored six centuries and 14 half-centuries in Test cricket, making a total of 20 scores of 50 or more. He has also taken over 30 five-wicket hauls, with 36 in total. He is the first cricketer in the history of Test cricket to have 20 scores of 50+ and 30 five-wicket hauls.
The special thing is that Ashwin achieved this milestone at his home ground in Chennai. This was his second century at this ground. At one point, India was at 144 runs for six wickets.
