Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several schemes during his visit to Maharashtra. In an event held in Wardha, he inaugurated the Maharashtra Government’s Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center scheme. This initiative is aimed at providing skill development training to help individuals, especially the youth, become self-reliant.
He also launched the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup scheme to support women-led startups in Maharashtra. Under this plan, women entrepreneurs will receive financial assistance to start and grow their businesses.
Additionally, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for a PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) park in Amravati. Spread across 1,000 acres, this park will help turn India into a global textile manufacturing hub, attracting foreign investments and creating new job opportunities.
Celebrating One Year of PM Vishwakarma Scheme
At the event in Wardha, the Prime Minister marked the completion of one year of the PM Vishwakarma scheme by releasing a commemorative postal stamp. He toured an exhibition related to the scheme and met beneficiaries, distributing certificates and loans to 18 people across different trades.
Skill Development Centers in Colleges
The Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center scheme will establish training centers in well-known colleges across the state. These centers will offer free skill development training to people aged 15 to 45, enabling them to find employment. Each year, approximately 150,000 young individuals are expected to benefit from this initiative.
Support for Women-Led Startups
Under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup scheme, women-led startups in Maharashtra will receive up to ₹25 lakh in financial support. A quarter of this funding will be reserved for women from backward castes and economically weaker sections, empowering them to become independent and self-sufficien
