India Tour of Bangladesh: Will Team India Visit This Islamic Country?

Published on

There is confusion over the India vs Bangladesh cricket series scheduled for August 2025. India is supposed to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is in Bangladesh starting from 17 August. But due to current political tensions between the two countries, this tour is still not confirmed.

🏏 BCB Gave an Update

Aminul Islam, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is still waiting for a green signal from the Indian government.

He said:

“We are in regular contact with BCCI. If permission is not given now, the series can be held later.”

He shared this after BCB’s 19th board meeting at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on 30 June.

🗓️ Proposed Match Schedule (If Tour Happens)

ODI Series (One Day Internationals):

  • 17 August – 1st ODI (Mirpur)
  • 20 August – 2nd ODI (Mirpur)
  • 23 August – 3rd ODI (Chattogram)

T20I Series (T20 Internationals):

  • 26 August – 1st T20I (Chattogram)
  • 29 August – 2nd T20I (Mirpur)
  • 31 August – 3rd T20I (Mirpur)

🤝 What’s Special About This Series?

If it happens, it will be Bangladesh’s first time hosting India for a home T20 series.

  • The last time both teams played a T20 series was in India in 2024, where India won 3-0.

✅ Current Status

  • BCCI is waiting for government clearance.
  • Both cricket boards want the series to happen.
  • If not in August, it might happen later.

Let’s wait and see if Team India goes to Bangladesh or not.
