Arvind Kejriwal’s Strong Attack on BJP and Congress: “Very Sad That…”

Published on

On Monday (14 April), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his 134th birth anniversary. A program was organized at the AAP office in Delhi, where Kejriwal spoke about Ambedkar’s contribution and said that AAP follows the ideals of Babasaheb and Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Kejriwal Targets BJP and Congress

During his speech, Kejriwal strongly criticized BJP and Congress. He said,
“Today many political parties and leaders are pretending to pay tribute to Babasaheb, but they don’t actually believe in his thoughts or ideas. They are doing it only to show off.”

“BJP Will Ruin Delhi Too”

Kejriwal pointed out the problems in the education system and said,
“Babasaheb gave the highest importance to education, but what’s happening in Delhi is very sad. When our government was in power in Delhi, we did not let private schools increase fees. But after BJP came to power, private schools have started behaving like wolves, exploiting parents and students. The government is supporting these schools instead of stopping them.”

He further said,
“BJP destroyed the education system in Gujarat, and now they will do the same in Delhi too.”

“They Don’t Want to Educate People”

Kejriwal said,
“I always wondered why, even after 75 years of independence, our education system isn’t fixed. If education improves, poverty can be removed in one generation. I used to think maybe they don’t know how to improve it. But now, seeing the way they’re ruining Delhi’s education, I’m convinced — they don’t want people to be educated on purpose.”

BJP-Congress Accused of Keeping People Uneducated

Kejriwal accused both BJP and Congress, saying,
“Both these parties have together kept this country uneducated by design. They pay tribute to Babasaheb only for show, because they have to. These people don’t let Dalits, backward communities, and poor people live with dignity.”

He ended by saying that AAP will continue to follow Babasaheb’s and Bhagat Singh’s path and fight for the rights of common people.
