Sanam Teri Kasam, released in 2016, marked the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane and actor Harshvardhan Rane. Despite its popular songs, the film was a box-office flop during its original release. However, nine years later, the movie has been re-released in theaters during Valentine’s Week 2025 and is now creating waves at the box office.
Day 3 Collection of Re-Release
The romantic drama made a grand comeback, earning well over its opening weekend. On its first day, the film collected ₹5.14 crores, followed by ₹6.22 crores on the second day. On Sunday (Day 3), it earned ₹5.75 crores, taking its total three-day collection to ₹17.11 crores, according to News24 reports.
Breaks Lifetime Collection Record
During its initial release in 2016, the movie only managed to earn ₹8 to ₹9 crores. However, the re-release has already surpassed that in just three days. This shows that the film’s magic is finally resonating with audiences.
Outperforms New Releases
The re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has overshadowed several newly released movies. The much-hyped LoveYapa, starring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, could not even touch ₹5 crores in three days. Similarly, Baadass Ravi Kumar, despite its buzz, earned just ₹6 crores.
In comparison, Sanam Teri Kasam has earned over ₹15 crores, setting a new benchmark for re-releases. It will be interesting to see how the film performs during the weekdays.
