Paris Paralympics 2024: Mona Agarwal Wins Bronze Medal After Avani Lekhara’s Gold

Indian shooters continue to shine at the Paris Paralympics. After Avani Lekhara won gold, Mona Agarwal has secured a bronze medal. Mona won the bronze in the 10-meter Air Rifle Standing SH1 event.

Mona Agarwal scored 228.7 in the competition, placing third. The 37-year-old para shooter is also competing in two other events at the Paris Paralympics. Her consistent performance in international tournaments has led to this historic win.

Earlier, Avani Lekhara won gold in the same 10-meter Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. This is just the second day of the Paris Paralympics, and Indian para athletes have made a strong start. At the Tokyo Paralympics, Avani won two medals, including gold.

In Tokyo, Avani set a record with a score of 249.6. This time, she broke her own record with a score of 249.7. South Korea’s Younri Lee scored 246.8 and won silver. Mona Agarwal scored 228.7 and secured third place. Although Mona was leading at one point, the South Korean shooter made a comeback.
