Rishabh Pant, the star wicketkeeper-batsman of the Indian cricket team, has been a long-time member of the Delhi Capitals. In IPL 2024, Pant captained the Delhi team, but unfortunately, they couldn’t qualify for the playoffs. Amid this, rumors have been circulating that in IPL 2025, Pant might join Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Now, Pant has finally spoken out about these rumors.
Pant responded to a user on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his frustration. He said that this is getting worse day by day, and it’s not the first time such rumors have spread. Pant criticized those spreading false news. From his reply, it became clear that he will not be joining RCB in IPL 2025.

An X user claimed that Pant had approached RCB through his manager to take on the team’s captaincy, but he was rejected. The post further suggested that Virat Kohli didn’t want Pant to be part of RCB.
In response, Pant wrote, “Fake news. Why do you people spread so much fake news on social media? Be sensible. Don’t create an unreliable atmosphere for no reason. This is neither the first nor the last time. Please always double-check your sources. It’s getting worse day by day. The rest is up to you. This is not just for you, but for all the people spreading false information.”
