After the Delhi Assembly Election results, senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Telangana state minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticized Congress and Rahul Gandhi. He said that Congress cannot stop BJP, and Rahul Gandhi will not succeed in this task.
KTR’s Comments on Rahul Gandhi
KTR sarcastically congratulated Rahul Gandhi on BJP’s victory in Delhi. He said, “If Rahul Gandhi really wants to stop BJP, he should fight in states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Bihar, but he fails there. Instead, he plots in states like Delhi to defeat BJP.”
He further claimed that Rahul Gandhi is Prime Minister Modi’s “biggest asset.” According to KTR, as long as Rahul remains active in politics, there is no threat to the Modi government.
Regional Leaders are the Real Opposition
KTR stated that strong regional leaders are the only real challenge to Modi and BJP. He mentioned leaders like KCR, Arvind Kejriwal, and Mamata Banerjee as examples of true opposition.
Criticism of Bharat Jodo Yatra
KTR also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. He pointed out that Rahul traveled from Kanyakumari to the north but avoided Gujarat during elections. KTR sarcastically asked, “Is Rahul Gandhi afraid of PM Modi?”
He concluded by saying that Congress is weak and without strong leadership, BJP will continue to grow.
