BJP Leader Shahnawaz Hussain Claims Threats After Waqf Bill Passed, Calls It a Pro-Muslim Move

Published on

Former Bihar Cabinet Minister and BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain has made a big statement regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. He said that the bill passed in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha is in the interest of Muslims. According to him, this bill will help poor Muslims and give them a chance to grow and develop again.

“Getting Threats on Social Media,” Says Shahnawaz

Shahnawaz Hussain also claimed that ever since the bill was passed, he has been receiving threats and abuses on social media. But he made it clear that such threats will not scare him. He also said that he is identifying the people behind these threats.

“This Bill Will Increase NDA’s Support Among Muslims”

Speaking about the impact of the bill on politics, Hussain said that the passing of this bill will increase Muslim support for the NDA. When asked about some Muslim leaders leaving JD(U), he said that no big names have left and it will not affect anything. He added that Muslims should not worry about the bill, as the Waqf Committee will still be headed by Muslims.

“Opposition Misleading People Like They Did During CAA”

Hussain compared the current situation to what happened during the CAA protests. He said that just like people were misled about CAA, now the same thing is happening with the Waqf Bill. He appealed to the Muslim community not to be misled by false information. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (support and development for all).

Minister Mangal Pandey Calls Waqf Bill a “Justice Bill”

On the other hand, Bihar Minister Mangal Pandey also supported the Waqf Bill. He said that the people who are creating panic are those who used to benefit from old, rigid legal systems. Such people are now feeling insecure, but common people are happy with the bill. According to him, the Waqf Bill is a justice-based law, and poor Pasmanda Muslims are especially happy with its passing.
