The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the alleged school teacher recruitment scam in the state. BJP leader Sambit Patra said in a press conference that Mamata Banerjee could go to jail for her role in the scam.

- “If BJP forms the government in West Bengal, we will take strict action against Mamata Banerjee,” said Sambit Patra.
- “There is a rule of law in India. No one is above it. Didi will definitely go to jail.”
⚖️ Supreme Court’s Big Decision
Recently, the Supreme Court upheld the Calcutta High Court’s order to cancel the jobs of more than 25,000 teachers and non-teaching staff due to serious issues in the recruitment process.
😠 BJP’s Allegations Against Mamata Banerjee
- Patra accused Mamata’s government of stopping the investigation and encouraging corruption in the recruitment process.
- He said the scam has affected lakhs of people in West Bengal.
- “Mamata Banerjee once called herself a lioness in Oxford, but now the truth of her government’s corruption is exposed,” he added.

- Sambit Patra questioned the silence of opposition leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi, over such a big scam.
- He said, “If these allegations were against an NDA Chief Minister, Rahul Gandhi would have shouted in Parliament and called it the ‘death of democracy’. But now he is silent.”
